Each year, Falkenberg Municipality purchases goods, services, and contracts worth millions. Therefore, an efficient, business-oriented, and strategic procurement and purchasing process is an important tool to meet the municipality's goals and contribute to sustainable development.
We in the procurement and purchasing department currently consist of 12 people. In addition to five other procurement officers, a procurement operations manager, and a head of procurement and purchasing, we also have an e-commerce operations manager, an e-commerce coordinator, an e-commerce administrator, a purchasing analyst, and two sustainability development leaders.
We are now looking for a procurement officer primarily in the construction sector who, together with us, wants to strengthen and contribute to the implementation of good sustainable business practices. RESPONSIBILITIES
The role of the procurement officer involves stimulating, developing, and enjoyable work where you will be offered challenging and engaging tasks with the opportunity to make a significant difference and develop yourself and our operations in the area of procurement and purchasing with a focus on business orientation. The role includes actively working and providing development and improvement suggestions on how we can enhance our processes related to procurement and purchasing. An active and continuous contract follow-up as well as advising on procurement and contract issues to the operations are also part of the role.
As a procurement officer, you work as an independent project leader and assist our departments and companies in procurements throughout the entire process, from needs and market analysis, procurement strategy, to the procurement work itself. Coordinating procurements with other municipalities in the region is also part of the procurement officer's assignment. An active and continuous contract follow-up and advising on procurement and contract issues to the municipal group's various operations are also included in the role.
The dialogue with our departments, companies, and suppliers is crucial and is an important aspect of your daily work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who is ready to develop our procurement and purchasing work. Therefore, we see that you are a person who actively explores new perspectives within the framework of procurement regulations. You have worked with qualified procurement work, preferably with a focus on construction, but you are also accustomed to and enjoy working with more routine purchasing tasks. You should have good knowledge of the Public Procurement Act.
Experience working according to AB 04, ABT 06, and ABK09 is an advantage. Of course, you have conducted your own procurements. We also see that you have education at the university or college level or vocational training in procurement, economics, law, or other education deemed comparable by the employer.
Your previous experience in the field enables you to quickly adapt to the work, and it is important that you are self-driven and have a structured approach to planning, organizing, and prioritizing work effectively. Since the tasks require high standards of quality, constructive problem-solving, and business orientation, it is essential that you are meticulous and possess good analytical skills. You are unpretentious, driven, and have the ability to create and maintain good relationships.
You have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing in Swedish, but preferably also in English. You can explain what you want to convey from different perspectives and for different target groups. You are comfortable participating in and leading various forums with both internal and external stakeholders. Through dialogue, inclusion, and creativity, you inspire and motivate others.
